Teaching Practice Weekly Report – Week 4 (19th August 2024 - 23rd August 2024)
Monday, 19th August 2024
The fourth week of my teaching practice began with me arriving at school at 9:30 AM. During the first period with Class 8D, I introduced and taught the topic of the Lok Sabha. I explained its composition, roles, and importance within the Indian parliamentary system. In the third period, I had a substitution class with 7A, where I engaged the students with various educational games, providing a fun yet interactive learning session.
Tuesday, 20th August 2024
The school was closed in observance of Sri Narayana Guru Jayanti, so there were no classes.
Wednesday, 21st August 2024
I arrived at school at 9:30 AM and continued with my teaching responsibilities for Class 8D, covering the functions of Parliament. I used visual aids and real-life examples to help students connect with the legislative processes and understand the diverse roles played by Parliament.
Thursday, 22nd August 2024
After arriving at 9:30 AM, I attended the morning assembly before heading to my class with 8D, where I taught about the Money Bill and its distinct aspects in Indian governance. The session was interactive, with students raising insightful questions. In the afternoon, I also assisted in serving lunch to students, which gave me a chance to interact with them outside the classroom setting.

The final day of the week began with me arriving at school at 9:30 AM. My lesson for 8D was focused on the State Legislature, exploring its structure, functions, and relationship with the central legislative bodies. I used charts and other resources to illustrate the complex mechanisms in an accessible way
Overall Reflection
This fourth week of teaching practice provided multiple opportunities to deliver engaging and interactive lessons, encouraging active participation from students. Additionally, assisting with school activities, such as serving lunch, helped strengthen my bond with the students and offered a broader perspective on school life beyond the classroom. Each day brought new learning experiences, contributing to my growth as an educator.
