Weekly Report: Teaching Practice Phase 2 – Week 4

This week was dynamic and engaging, blending regular lessons with interactive activities and school events. Along with teaching new topics, I actively participated in games, creative sessions, and a Sanskrit quiz, making the learning experience enjoyable for students.

Day-wise Summary

06.01.2025 (Monday)

I reached school by 9:20 AM, marked my attendance, and conducted a fun-filled game session during a substitution period in Class 5C.
During my assigned 3rd-period class with 8D, I taught the Gupta Period, highlighting its contributions to Indian history, art, and science.

07.01.2025 (Tuesday)

The day began with a morning assembly by Class 9D.
During my 3rd-period class with 8D, I introduced the topic of atmospheric gases, explaining their composition, role, and significance in sustaining life on Earth.

08.01.2025 (Wednesday)

I arrived at school by 9:20 AM and conducted my scheduled class with 8D, where I taught "The Atmosphere as a Greenhouse."
Students engaged well with the concept, discussing the greenhouse effect and its impact on climate change.

09.01.2025 (Thursday)

I reached school by 9:15 AM, attended the morning assembly, and prepared for my lesson.
During my 6th-period class with 8D, I taught "Ozone as an Umbrella for the Earth," emphasizing its protective role in shielding the planet from harmful UV radiation.

10.01.2025 (Friday)

During a substitution period in Class 6B, I conducted a creative gaming session, encouraging students to think imaginatively and interactively.
In my 1st-period class with 8D, I taught the structure of the atmosphere, covering its different layers and their importance in maintaining Earth's climate.

Reflection on the Week

This week was a blend of academic learning and engaging activities, allowing students to explore concepts through interactive methods. The participation in the Sanskrit quiz and witnessing the youth festival preparations added vibrancy to the school environment.

By incorporating games, puzzles, and art-based learning, I was able to enhance student engagement and make lessons more impactful. I look forward to experimenting with more interactive teaching strategies in the coming weeks!
