Teaching Practice Weekly Report – Week 7 (30th September - 4th October 2024)

Monday, 30th September 2024
The seventh week of my teaching practice began with a session in Class 8D, where I focused on teaching about the Iron Age. I incorporated discussions and visual aids to explain its impact on society and culture, ensuring that students gained a deeper understanding of this significant historical period.

Tuesday, 1st October 2024
In my scheduled session with 8D, I introduced the Sangam period, highlighting its cultural, literary, and historical importance. The students showed keen interest, and I facilitated interactive activities to help them connect with the era.

Wednesday, 2nd October 2024
This day was a holiday in observance of Gandhi Jayanti. There were no classes.

Thursday, 3rd October 2024
In Class 8D, I continued the exploration of the Sangam works. The session focused on the literary contributions, societal values, and the significance of Sangam literature in understanding ancient Tamil society. Students were engaged through discussions and text analysis.During the second period, I had a substitution class with 7.C .I used this opportunity to practice yoga with the students, which provided a beneficial break and supported their physical and mental-well being.

Friday, 4th October 2024
On the final day of the week, I taught about the social life of the Kurinchi and Mullai regions during the Sangam period in Class 8D. This lesson highlighted the distinct ways of life, customs, and traditions in these ecological regions, enhancing students’ comprehension of the ancient period's diversity.I had two substitution periods today. In the 4th period,I taught value education to class 8C,focusing on the topic of CARE.The students participated actively, reflecting on the importance of CARE in their daily lives and interactions. 

This week was marked by a continuation of in-depth historical lessons, engaging students through interactive teaching methods and fostering their appreciation for ancient Indian history and culture.
                   During the second period, I had a substitution period with 7c.I used this opportunity to practice yoga with the students.                                                                                  I conducted a value education on October 4 in class 8C

Teaching Practice Weekly Report – Week 4 (19th August 2024 - 23rd August 2024) Monday, 19th August 2024 The fourth week of my teaching practice began with me arriving at school at 9:30 AM. During the first period with Class 8D, I introduced and taught the topic of the Lok Sabha. I explained its composition, roles, and importance within the Indian parliamentary system. In the third period, I had a substitution class with 7A, where I engaged the students with various educational games, providing a fun yet interactive learning session. Tuesday, 20th August 2024 The school was closed in observance of Sri Narayana Guru Jayanti, so there were no classes. Teaching Practice Reflection: Week 2 (August 5th - 9th) This week of my teaching practice was both enriching and eventful, as I balanced classroom lessons with broader school activities and special observances. On August 5th, I had a substitution period in class 6C, where I engaged students with games. Their high energy and enthusiastic participation made the session enjoyable and effective. Later in class 8D, I introduced the topic of metamorphic rocks, explaining how they form through heat and pressure. The students were attentive and eager to learn. August 6th was marked by a special morning assembly to commemorate Hiroshima Day. The assembly provided a moving tribute to the victims, encouraging students to reflect on the importance of peace and the lessons we can draw from history.
