Weekly Report: Teaching Practice Phase 2 – Week 3

This week included four working days, and it was filled with insightful lessons, engaging discussions, and an important cyber awareness session.
Day-wise Summary
03.12.2024 (Tuesday)
The day began with a morning assembly conducted by Class 6D. During my scheduled class with 8D, I introduced the Maurya Dynasty, discussing its rulers, administration, and historical significance.
04.12.2024 (Wednesday)
I reached school by 9:20 AM, marked my attendance, and had informal interactions with teachers before volunteering for a cyber awareness session titled "Bodhanam". The session highlighted the dark side of technology and preventive measures, proving to be an eye-opening experience for both students and teachers.
Later, during my first-period class with 8D, I taught Saptanga Theory, explaining its components and relevance in ancient Indian polity.
05.12.2024 (Thursday)
I arrived at school by 9:15 AM and attended the morning assembly led by Class 8B. During my scheduled 3rd-period class in 8D, I taught about Ashoka and Dhamma, emphasizing Ashoka’s policies, his transition to Buddhism, and the impact of Dhamma on governance.
06.12.2024 (Friday)
On the last day of Week 3, I reached school at 9:15 AM and conducted my scheduled 4th-period class with 8D, where I taught about the Satavahanas, discussing their contributions to Indian history and trade
Reflection on the Week
This week was a blend of academic learning and awareness-building. The cyber awareness session was a notable highlight, providing valuable insights into digital safety. My lessons on ancient Indian dynasties helped students understand the political and cultural evolution of India.
With three weeks completed, I feel more confident and connected with my students, and I look forward to further enhancing my teaching strategies in the coming weeks.
