This week marked the second phase of my teaching practice, and it was a productive and engaging experience. Along with my regular lessons, I also participated in interactive activities and school events, making the week dynamic and enriching.
Day-wise Summary
25.11.2024 (Monday)
I reached school by 9:20 AM, marked my attendance, and used a substitution period in Class 7D to conduct a fun-filled game session. Later, in Class 5D, I organized a puzzle activity, which the students thoroughly enjoyed. During my assigned period in Class 8D, I introduced the Sapta Sindhu Region, discussing its historical and geographical significance.
26.11.2024 (Tuesday)
The day began with a morning assembly conducted by Class 9D. My scheduled class was in 3rd period with 8D, where I taught about the Gangetic Plain, highlighting its role in early civilizations and agricultural development.
27.11.2024 (Wednesday)
I reached school by 9:20 AM and enjoyed watching students practice for the upcoming district-level youth festival. It was inspiring to see their dedication and enthusiasm. During my scheduled class with 8D, I taught Buddhism, discussing its principles, teachings of Buddha, and impact on Indian society.
28.11.2024 (Thursday)
I arrived at school by 9:15 AM, attended the morning assembly, and later participated in a Sanskrit quiz, which was an exciting and enriching experience. In the 6th period with 8D, I taught Jainism, explaining its core beliefs, the teachings of Mahavira, and its influence on Indian history.
29.11.2024 (Friday)
During a substitution period in Class 7B, I conducted a creative drawing session, where students illustrated scenes based on my narration. It was an enjoyable and imaginative activity that allowed students to express their creativity. In the 1st period with 8D, I taught about the Mahajanapadas, discussing their political structures and economic significance.
Reflection on the Week
This week was marked by a mix of creative, interactive, and thought-provoking activities. Along with my regular teaching sessions, I had the opportunity to engage with students through games, puzzles, and art-based learning. Participating in the Sanskrit quiz and witnessing the youth festival preparations added to the vibrancy of the week.
Overall, it was an enriching experience, and I look forward to the weeks ahead as I continue to explore new teaching strategies and foster student engagement.
